The Living Room

The ample sized living / dining room has a cathedral ceiling in wood, a traditional style oil burning stove, 2 deep brown leather sofas and beige faux suede recliner, and an entertainment centre with TV, Video, DVD player and CD stereo system. High speed broadband is also available.

The floors are a mix of solid oak and slate. The drapes are a luxurious flock/tapestry mix in gold and maroon. The furniture is antique pine. The centre light fixture is an antique, four branch, wrought iron chandelier converted from oil to electricity.

The walls are decorated with limited edition prints, taken from original paintings by the owner. These are mostly scenes of beautiful Connemara and are for sale. Click here for more information.

The dining area has an extendable oak dining table to seat 6 -10. From this room double doors lead on to one of two patio areas. This one, facing west overlooking the sea, is equipped with hardwood furniture and barbeque.

The Kitchen

The compact kitchen is off the sitting room. It is a state-of-the-art Italian design with large Smeg fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, 6 burner gas cook top and an electric oven {Image}. The washer and dryer are located in a little building adjacent to the house.

The Sun Room

From the sitting room an open staircase leads up to a warm bright sun room with TV/Video and a futon that converts to a bed to sleep 2 people if needed. Leading off this room is a south facing patio with a view of the sea and mountains.
